SPRINGDALE - With the prospect of the first wave of Baby
Boomers becoming older adults in the next decade, there is interest
in the home building industry in helping them remain in their own
homes as they age.
The Certified Aging-In-Place program was designed by AARP and the
National Home Builders Association to address the needs of aging
individuals with regard to their physical environment. Now, the Home
Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati is offering training that
will enable builders and remodelers to become Certified
Aging-In-Place Specialists (CAPS).
The three classes required for certification will be offered
Thursday, Friday and Oct. 2. Registration is required.
